Financing a Duke EducationWe understand that not every student will qualify for need-based aid or a merit scholarship. With this in mind, Duke has developed an array of financing options - including short- and long-term parent and student loans, as well as several payment plans - all aimed at making a Duke education affordable. No "best" way to pay for college exists. Duke encourages each student and family to develop an individualized "paying-for-college strategy" that fits their particular circumstance and considers all available resources, including parent income and savings, student savings and recurring income, summer and academic year earning opportunities, local scholarships and the variety of aid programs detailed on this web site. We understand that paying for college is not easy. That said, we firmly believe that a family's decision to support their student's Duke education is one that will pay off in a variety of ways. The rewards associated with a Duke education are significant and represent an important return on the family's investment. We find that our graduates are highly satisfied with the learning experience and the opportunities it provides while they are enrolled and in the future. The Undergraduate Financial Aid Office is anxious to work with families as they develop affordability strategies. Contact us for assistance. For more information on financing a Duke Education: |
