Sallie Mae

Sallie Mae offers alternative loan programs through a number of banks and lending institutions. Students may borrow up to the cost of education minus financial aid. A co-signer may be required. Principal and interest payments can be deferred until after the completion of the borrower's education.

CitiAssist Loan

Students may borrow up to the cost of attendance minus financial through Citibank. Interest is capitalized annually. Students have up to 12 years to repay this loan. Borrowers may pay interest only for 24-48 months after graduation and grace period.

Wachovia Education Loan

Wachovia Education Loan has no fees and rates as low as prime minus 1.00 percent, this flexible private loan can cover all costs not met by other aid programs and can even cover past-due balances up to three years old. Receive a rate as low as prime minus 1 percent during repayment and zero fees - No fees are ever deducted from the loan amount. No requirement of payment while enrolled in school, and students may borrow up to the cost of education minus financial aid.
