"V" Terms
- Verification
- A procedure whereby the school checks the information the student reported on the financial aid application, usually by requiring a copy of the tax returns or other documents as appropriate, filed by the student and parent(s). Duke University verifies 100% of all need based aid applications. If there is an asterisk next to the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) on the Institutional Student Information Report (ISIR) the student is required to undergo federal verification.
