Financial Aid Philosophy Statement

Duke University believes that the availability of a high-quality education should depend on a student's academic ability and profile, not their financial circumstances. The University admits students without regard to their ability to pay and meets 100 percent of each admitted student's demonstrated need.

Duke has developed financial aid programs and financing options to respond to a wide range of economic circumstances. We understand that even with assistance, paying for college is not easy. The various programs outlined on this web site, however, can make paying for college manageable.
